For the third time, we have achieved the highest Platinum level in the comprehensive EcoVadis sustainability assessment. Our score increased by five points, reaching a total of 84/100, placing us among the top 1% of assessed companies. Achieving the Platinum level required a minimum score of 81.
We have participated in the EcoVadis assessment annually for four years. The annual improvement in our score demonstrates our strong commitment to systematically advancing sustainability.
EcoVadis assesses a company’s entire sustainability management system across a maximum of 21 areas, depending on the industry. These areas include environmental matters, labor and human rights, ethical business practices, and sustainable procurement. Our highest score was in environmental responsibility, with 90/100 points, while all other areas received 80/100 points.
The evaluation is based on policies and principles, practical measures, and outcomes.
A tool for advancing sustainability work
The EcoVadis assessment serves as a valuable and comprehensive third-party evaluation of overall sustainability performance for both us and our stakeholders, such as customers.
The assessment provides clear recommendations for improving sustainability efforts and acts as an excellent motivator for development. Berner’s sustainability work is guided by the Shared Responsibilities sustainability program and its objectives.
This year, we also became a member of EcoVadis to further enhance the due diligence processes within our supply chain.
